To celebrate the memorable fact that the surname Afman existed 200 years, the Afman Family Foundation organized a family meeting on October 29, 2011 at Paterswolde near Groningen. During the meeting the new revised and updated Family Book was presented.

A highlight at the reunion was the presentation of the renovated family book. That was done by the author of the book, Margrietha Afman (the Foundation chairman), who presented the very first volume to Pieter Afman, inspirator and co-founder of the Foundation
